As the November election draws closer, I am excited to have the opportunity to meet many residents of our city and talk about the issues that are important to you. From discussing the importance of voting with recently naturalized U.S. citizens to sitting down at local coffee shops to hear what is on your mind, I look forward to the weeks ahead. Stockton is a great place to live, and working together we can make it even better.
We have made a few changes to our site recently, including the addition of my professional resume, additions to our list of endorsements, and the addition of a number of events to our campaign calendar.
I look forward to meeting you, and thank you for your support.

I’m proud to announce that I am running for Mayor of Stockton. I am running because I am the best qualified candidate to solve Stockton’s problems and move this city forward. I have served eight years on the Stockton City Council and 13 years on the Lodi School Board. I recently celebrated 27 years as a business owner in downtown Stockton.
I need your support to win this election. Together we can make a difference in Stockton. I am tired of hearing that Stockton is at the bottom of the list in adult literacy, and the top of the list in crime statistics. We must tackle these issues before we can move forward.
When I was on the Stockton City Council we were making progress in reducing crime. We were working with the schools to improve graduation results. In the past four years the city has regressed. Businesses are closing. Crime has increased. Our schools are falling farther behind state and national goals.
It is time to change the leadership.
Stockton needs strong visionary leadership that can work with citizens to create a better future. Working together, we will restore the civic momentum that earned us the All America City award. This is a difficult economic time, but we must be creative in our approach to problem solving.
Your support will make Stockton a better place for all of us. I’m proud that State Senator Mike Machado and former State Senator Patrick Johnston have already endorsed me for mayor. Feel free to call me at my campaign office at (209) 466-3601 to discuss my plans or volunteer for our winning team. Together we can do this.
